Currently setting my old dead LR to seed and cure with 8 lbs of new LR. I am also going to be getting Dr Tim's ammonia tomorrow to start building the bacteria. What else should I be doing to help with this process? Not in a rush here I want to do it right. It's a 75 gallon tank. It's in the process of moving from upstairs to the basement. Thanks ahead for any help.

Should I be doing weekly water changes of 25% or 100? Also it smells real nice in the basement :-(

I would not do water changes, just top off. Just make sure you do not get a stalled cycle, and if you do just do small water changes.

I would add the Dr.Tims, but you do not have to. It might assist in speeding up the cycle.

Either is probably fine. Dr.Tim's One and Only right?

He does have a forum here if you want to post that question to him.
