300 gallon tank that going to go in the basement where his office is. He has a 2 year old 90 gallon thats up stairs in the living room. This is going to be his retirement home for his Tangs and Angle fish. There will be some larger fish in there as well, nothing that isnt reef safe.

the link to the 90 upstairs:

    http://www.3reef.com/forums/show-off-your-fish-tanks/45-gallon-90-gallon-upgrade-132010.html#.Uw5LVfldUpg

The skimmer will be the reef octopus 400
the flow will be taken care of by 2 MP60s and 2 MP40s
this tank will have automatic water changes, just like the 90 upstairs has.
    fully controlled by apex.
sorry the pics are small, they were taken with a cell phone so any larger and they get fuzzy.

The tank is 8ft long, 2ft wide and 31 inches tall.

There will be about a 3 inch sand bed. and 300-350 LBS of rock.

I wont bore you with words, so here are pics!

Some goodies for an up coming upgrade:

    Still to come :

    1. paint the back of the tank blue
    2. obtain 100lbs of live rock, and ~320 lbs of dry rock
    3. get the sand
    4. get the plumbing figured out
    5. get bigger RODI and salt tanks

The tank came from glass cages

Thank you. its about 400 pounds and we had to have 8 people help us move it. since its a new tank, they said not to put any water in it for 4 weeks. so that still gives plenty of time to get teh plumbing just right, the tank painted and the dry rock/sand rinsed.

The sump is like 6 ft long, 10 inches tall and 18 inches wide, ive never seen one like this and/or have any experience with this type of sump. so we'll see how that goes.

+1. Me either. I have heard 12 day cure time from one tank builder. But I'm no expert.

us either, but better safe than sorry. like i said there is still stuff to be ordered and things to be done before its ready to be wet anyways. total water volume with out the rocks is going to be almost 400 gallons, and that takes a while to make, store, and prep. so we have time:) nothing good happens fast right?
