Sanjay never give's his opinion in these articles. He is a data man. He presents the data and nothing more.

I believe the unit tested was 60 degree optics, and I believe Sanjay tried to confirm with Orphek but didn't get a clear response. The test results certainly look like it was 60 degree.

And that's why he's so great at what he does. Just the facts man ;D
Plenty of others will endlessly debate their opinions. No system is the same and all of the relevant info for choosing lighting is already widely available anyways.

As a professor, he wants you to detrime for yourself what is best. He offers up the data.

As a friend of his, wI bait him all the time with questions about what he thinks is best... still no answer. Heck, last I asked what bulb he was using, he directed me to the article

Magic? You need to look to David Copperfield, Chris Angel or David Blain for that answer.

The data is finally there, you tell me? Or, you can look up my history of posting on this issue.

The optics are the same inner and outer for this fixture.

Orphek sells the PR-156 two ways.
    PR-156 = 90 degree optics
    PR-156w = 120 degree optics

Per Sanjay's article and Shawn Wilson, the Canadian rep for Orphek this was a PR-156w.

Thats why I took the DIY route. There is not a fixture that I like/can afford in the market right now.

He's a smart guy in every way. Id like an invitation to take a look at his personal tanks..

LOL, Ive read your past posts in regards to Orphek, they do seem awfully shady in most cases.

As for the par numbers, my vote goes to magic.
