I have a freshwater and saltwater tank, when I get a saltwater fish I do a freshwater dip.
Has anyone heard of doing a saltwater dip for a new freshwater fish?

I have only had one experience with this subject.
I purchased a yellow tang and it had black ich.
I gave it a freshwater dip for about 5 monutes and he was totally cured of it. Have not seen another speck on him.
