Hi all - not sure if this is the right place to post this- but I am needing some clarification and piece of mind on running the salt water into my cesspool when I do water changes? I know I cant run a hose outside - unless I want dead grass and we don't have sewers.

I would assume it should not be an issue? Its a 100 gallon tank and 55 gallon sump and may add another tank in the future - so maybe we are talking 30-40 gallons a month?

    Thanks!

Not an issue at all. In fact studies have found saltwater helps break up clay soils in some areas so the work better. The used saltwater contains much less salt than recharging a water softener by the way.

Just think about the sediment/sand that may be with your water before you dump it in the drain...you may want to let it settle and dispose of the solids another way.
