Safely raising calsium?

    4phish, there are various ways to increase calcium
    from the high tech calcium reactor type set ups - to the low tech powders and liquids that you add manually

    check the above calculator
    select the product you want to use
    follow the instructions in terms of QTY and amount of increase ( dont try and increase by to much in 1 go)

    but understanding the relationship between Calcium, Magnesium, Alk and SG is important
    if your Mag is to low, it may not support your desired Calc level if you increase the Calc beyond the level the Mag can support then your Alk drops
    and if your SG is low, this affects the total amount of dissolved Ions the water can accomodate

    Switch to Oceanic salt..It has high calcium
