I had a cup sent to me but the USPS man let it set over night by mistake so it has RTN. Can this be stopped or will it being in the tank with good lighting help stop the tissue from deacaying, or should I just toss it.
What can I do to help it?
Can it affect other hard coral's?
    Thank you for your time.

I would not risk it! Once bacteria enters your water it can cause widespread RTN in SPS, and LPS corals. Best bet in my opinion is to send it back

it is a viral infection and not much is known about it. The rtn is going to be specific to a certain "receptor" on the tissue of the cells. any type of cell in your tank that has this same receptor will also contract rtn and die. there is no stopping it other than fragging and removing the infected area
