Royal Exclusiv DreamBox Sumps are coming to the USA this December. Rich people will be excited because they will no longer have to pay $1500 to have them shipped directly from Cologne. Why would someone do that? Well, these are the Rolls-Royce of sumps. I've never been truly excited about a sump until I saw this one in person at MACNA. They are a work of art. Royal Exclusiv founder Klaus Jansen is a master carpenter that specializes in plastic processing. The plexiglass in the Dreambox Sump is 8mm thick and hot gas welded - not glued. This means no leaks, strong and extremely quiet - especially with the cool form-fitted lids. Drool.

Yes, fancy container with bells and whistles.

Including everything I have and have done, and my newer 180 build, in just over 2 years, I still haven't spent what one of these sumps cost.

    Nice sump though

Definitely pretty, and as Matt sez, I'm not sure I'd blame anyone who could afford one for buying one, even tho I can build a sump.

It was gorgous, but the lid idea seems shortsighted to me. A hotter system, something more to clean, and less gas exchange.

I lost more than that with inverts and fish in the last year to the worm, i love sumps. Adjustable baffles are amazing!

Agreed. I love the adjustable baffle.

As for the lids I was a fan. Evaporation and noise annoy me more than heat - but that said, there are holes there that would help with heat and gas exchange. But those are valid criticisms all the same.

For me it's not heat or noise, but the inconvenience. I wouldn't want to remove that if I wanted to get in my sump.
