Hey guys, we got a rope fish about a week ago.

At first it was swimming all over the tank.

Now it just kind of sits at the bottom in a corner near a rock and a large plant.

It moves a little in that area and ate some raw shrimp yesterday. It ate it but we practically had to place the shrimp next to its face. When I stuck my hand to drop the shrimp, he didn't even react. Like it didn't care

Is it normal for this fish to act this way?

Also, any tips on keeping a tiretrack out of my dam filter?

    thanks

I had one before and never had anything like that happen. My dad has it now. Always active and ate blood worms as well. Used to put the food in a bottle at the bottom so other fish would not gobble it up. What are the other occupants in the tank.

What are your parameters in the water? Also- what other inhabitants are in your aquarium?

Depending on the type of tetra they can be some what aggressive towards other peaceful fish. I wonder if he is getting picked on!

Jeez, for a moment I thought we were talking saltwater. I almost pooped when I saw the pH.
