Hey Darren - I really enjoyed helping out - actually I should say... I really enjoyed watching you get soaked.

Your new tank is absolutely stunning.

    How does it look today?

It cleared up quite a bit and looks great. Lights go up tomorrow.

I also found another starfish, a bunch of crabs, some zoos and a few frags we missed from the other tanks.

Midas Blenny sighting confirmed. Only two anthias accounted for, two unaccounted for. All the tangs are doing great. Potters too. Clowns acting clowny.

Polyps were out on many corals.

    So far so good.

    Thanks!

I will be getting the lights up tomorrow (hopefully) and I'll take a pic or two. A lot of broken coral right now so it will take some time to look good.

The fish are definitely happy. They really seem to love the wide space.

Did you have a fish stock list for this beautiful tank?

    In it right now:

    - Powder Blue Tang
    - Purple Tang
    - Yellow Tang
    - Red Sea Sailfin Tang
    - Kole Tang
    - Potters Angel
    - Midas Blenny
    - Mated Pair Charcoal Clowns
    - 1 Bartlett's Anthias
    - 1-3 Lyretail Anthias - I've only seen one since the move
    - Limbaugh Chromis
    - Splendid Dottyback - not seen since the move
    - Flame Hawk

I plan on adding some Bartlett's and Lyretails. I'm also considering adding a few Royal Grammas (small and at the same time so they will go together)

    I have pics!

First, we finally got the lights going. Here is the sequence:

This is the main mounting plate. You can see on the plate a number of standoffs connected to it with a stainless steel rod through them.

Here is a close up of a standoff. You screw through the bottom and the stainless steel rod fits in the socket. A set screw holds the rod in place.

I set the lights in a 3x3 pattern. The 5 Sol Blues are the 'X' and the 4 Hydras are the "middle" lights. This is one row connected with the AI ELT rail system.

Here are all 9 next to each other. Note that the Hydras are thinner than the Sol Blues.

There is no attach point for the standoffs on the ELT rails so we had to drill.

Here is one of the standoffs installed.

Here are all 9 lights with standoffs installed.

Now the rods and mounting plate go on.

Now the brackets for the mounting rails

Tank shots. Note that the three hydras I had on one of my previous tanks are not on. I don't have the director set up correctly - it thinks it is the middle of the night so they aren't on. Will fix tomorrow.
