    Hello
Do you guys use a ro system for a freshwater tank? I'm currently getting my water straight from the tap then treating it with prime.
    Thanks

I've heard straight RO/DI water is too acidic to use for freshwater. Its probably alright for top offs but I wouldn't use it for water changes.

RODI is neutral but it has no buffering ability so the pH crashes in the tank. It also has no minerals and nutrients.

Yup. You need minerals in the water. The salt mixes for saltwater have the nutrients needed.
