As the title suggests im looking to put an ro/di unit in my apartment. Im getting tired of paying for ro water from the lfs and then hauling it up three flights of stairs.

Anyway....I have heard they can be hooked up multiple ways, 1) directly to a copper pipe, 2) to a faucet if you have the right adapter, and 3) by putting a splitter on the cold water of the washing machine.

If i were to do either of these, which is the best and will leave little to no evidence of it even being there when its time to move out? I think if i went direct to the copper line i could leave that one piece behind and just close it so water doesnt shoot out? l

Let me know you thoughts, and thanks in advance.

i am in an apartment and just hook it to the faucet with an adapter when i need water. it won't leave any trace when you leave. it's pretty simple.

I'll be doing this in the next month or so. I'll either tee off of the incoming cold water line under the sink with a pex adapter valve, or just hook it up directly to the faucet when needed.

I'm in an apartment and I got a 5 stage RO/DI from Bulk Reef Supply that connects to the faucet. I have the canisters sitting under the kitchen faucet and whenever I need water I just attach it to the faucet and fill a bucket.

Here is mine 75 GPD RO/DI 5 Stage Standard System - English

I use a tee valve connected to the cold water under the sink.
