    so i can out to my tank the other night to see a nassurriss snail all over my small maxima clam...moved him to different spot and the snail was all over him. Finally move him to safe non-narruriss snail, to come back and find his shell wide out and with almost nothing left in there. Poor guy, but my big maxima is doing great. snif snif, i feel better now (there was no real question here just venting, thanx)

    sorry for your loss!
    The clam was probably dying and the snails took care of the rest....
    What type of lights do you have? How long did you have the clam?

    Sorry for your loss. I also lost a maxima clam too due to bad advice on inadequate lighting. Once they start down the tunnel, it's hard to save them. :(

    I lost my clam about a yr ago and havent replaced it yet. I know how you feel. Sorry for the loss. Luna

    i run 150 MH with two 39w atinics, so it wasnt the lighting, plus i have another maxima [almost 3 times the size] who has no problem. and the little guy was out an looked happy till the snail and crabs got to him...

    thanx for caring guys, i am still said. i luv clams, haha
