    can you frag a Ricordea Mushroom the same way you frag a noraml mushroom ?

    That I know of......it's the same process. Never heard of it being any different.

    alot of sites am reading is saying to cut the head of and the base will grow a new head and place the old head in some rubble. i want to know if you can cut the head as well

    I've seen them being cut from the base and the head cut also, so I'm thinking it's no different.

    I tied a string around mine, right across the mouth and it split into two pieces on it's own, then I did it again. I got two frags in three days. I trade them for other frags.

    I usually buy mine loose attached to a little rubble, then glow them to a frag tile. In a month or so I cut them down the center and repeat it a few times over the next two weeks so they don't grow back together. I don't do it, but I'm sure you could remove half of the ricordia from the tile and glue to another frag plug. It should still be attached to some rubble so you probably glue it without any problem.
    But for my purposes, I find it is easier just to cut the ricordia two or three times and wait until they are separate polyps and sell them that way altogether.

    I find that a tightly fitting rubber band will do the same thing.

    i've heard of people taking a nice size ricordea and cutting it into 4 with a pair of scissors and attaching to some rubble.4 new rickys a few weeks later.
