She has a vortec in hers. The engine runs like a champ, it's everything else that falls apart. Example: four wheel drive mechanism and switch.

Nothin wrong with a chevy, we have them at work and they go 300k miles. But one day you will graduate to a toyota and leave the baby trucks behind :)

Once again, it's not ethical. But all the OP had to do was state he paid it in cash and presented the buyers order as proof. In a court there is no way for the dealership to disprove him. That's why we demand hold checks or don't give the paperwork till we have the downpayment. The finance manager made a stupid mistake by not collecting it at time of delivery.

It's a scam many people run on weak finance managers. You shouldn't jump to a conclusion just because you don't understand a concept.

@OP, glad you were able to work out a solution that both you and the dealership can live with! Hopefully you will learn to love your new truck!

I second the LMAO... Bought a chevy tahoe new..not cheep back in 2000 and had nothing but problems with it breaking down, 4 wheel drive(lived in Boston so needed it)being completely replaced, 4 fuel pumps all within the first 30,000 miles. I will never ever buy a chevy again. Piece of %^&$&$ vehicles. My Nissans have always run solid and will stick with them, or Toyota.

There are such things as lemons. I have owned all of Chevy's with no problems at all. My Kia has had more issues IMO. But honestly I don't understand why people have to be either a FORD or CHEVY person. There are always the bad apple that spoils first opinions of just about anything. I can tell you that Ford's don't make it easy to do a lube job and Chevy's do. I also know that Ford's require a lot of special tools that make it hard to do a lot of work yourself on them, but that is just my opinion.
