So I hired two men and a truck to move my used (new to me) 300g tank. Well they damaged it during the move.

They had my 800lb tank sitting on a 2 wheeler on the left side the whole drive to my house .

I saw the damage when one of the movers said pull the blanket out but watchout for all the loose glass.

    Then I saw it....

One of the movers sliced open his hand while they were putting it one the stand.

    The move cost me $550

As a result of this I recieved a nice check and decided to get the tank I have always wanted and a custom sump

Some nice frag islands from Westmariculture.com. I have 2 more larger ones and will be using LR

Here is my sump from 302 aquatics

But fedex put a forklift through this one so I should be getting my new one that will look like this in a couple weeks. I'll do a build thread when I get everything up and going but thought I'd share this.

Very nice!! My last experience with a large used tank ended in about $12,000 in damage to my house, not to mention damage to the ego and a bit of marital discord. You'll be happy you went with new!!

That's a nice tank! Can't wait to see it running. That sump is serious.

Only thing that worries me is the recent horror stories that I have read about the 300DD tanks :/ I def dont want 300g all over the floor along with my corals and fish dying. Im hoping that doesnt happen.

I purchased 3 alarms and a leak detector for my controller so if something was to happen hopefully I'll be able to save some stuff.

Ya the tank and the sump is awesome. This has worked out in my favor so far ;)
