I upgraded to a standard 55 gallon tank from my nano. My diy 28 LED fixture definitely won't cover the whole tank and I still have my old T5 fixture. I figured I would use both until I save up the cash for a second LED build and it would be a nice little lighting experiment.

The only issue is that my T5 fixture seems like it would be a PITA to hang. Has anyone had any experience resting the legs of the fixture on the center brace? Is it recommended? The last thing I would want to do is break the brace.

I think the brace should be strong enough to hold the fixture.
