(resolved) Mag-Drive 18 making loud noise and barley pumping water?

    1in in and 1 inch out and actually out goes to a sqwd and the outlets are 2 3/4 loclines.

    That's what I was running and I also had a loud hum from the Mag 24. Found out that the 1" return is way too small for the flow of that pump. Switched to 1-1/2" return, and the pump was much quieter. The flow coming out of the pump is MUCH greater at 1-1/2", also.

    Oh well I didn't think about my plumbing very well and I can't easily change out the return line unless I plug the holes in the tank lol. So I am in the market for a new pump.
