so i've read all over online (including on this site) that renter's insurance DOES NOT COVER liability for any damage if an aquarium were to break and/or damage the property in some way....

idk if i've just got the right insurance company or what, but i've talked to a couple different agents, and they have all told me that YES my renter's insurance DOES cover any liability if damage were done by my aquarium.

i called GEICO, and the renter's insurance is through ASSURANT SPECIALTY PROPERTY.

does anyone have experience in this? because from everything i've read, renter's insurance DOES NOT cover aquarium damage..... but the agents are telling me that mine does....

It's going to depend on your policy, and that's going to be different from company to company.

Well, there's nothing in it that says specifically that IT IS covered, but the agents tell me it is.
But there is also no EXCLUSIONS section.
it just simply says I have $XXX of liability coverage.
