Anyone have any ideas on how to remove Maxi Mini's from my tank? They've grown to 4-5" and I was totally unaware of the sting they produce. It's limiting the type of fish I can now put into my tank.

I do believe I lost my Tailspot Blenny to them. They didn't eat her but just looked like she was stung real bad and never recovered.

Yes I will rid my tank of these nems for a fish :)

Start on one edge of the base with a dull flat pick & slowly lift it. Eventually it will release itself.

first...send me a photo.... second... ill send you money.... too easy.

I've had good luck with cheap plastic forks the cheaper and more blunt the better.
break off one of the pokey parts of the fork and use it to slowly lift a small part of the foot off the rock. I sometime accidentally poke into the anemone when doing this, but... i stop putting pressure on the oozing part.

After I have enough lifted off the rock I switch to using my costco card and finish up with my fingers.

go grab a guppy breeder net set up that you can hang in your aquarium to let the little guys heal up a bit, then post an add on craigslist, your LFS, or here. Im sure someone will take em off your hands.

I heard once people take an ice cube and chill it's foot a little but that might be bad I don't know, something I heard once and didn't research!
