Removing everything from the Fluval 405?

    I have a fluval 405 that I used to use, i generally dont need it for anything, unless I want to run Carbon or chempure or something like that.

    Is it fine to let it run empty? and just put carbon in it when needed?

    Should be fine, just extra flow. I run an empty canister on my reef.
