    I am running my 1st sumped tank and my 1st in-sump skimmer and I am having trouble with it. its been running about 2 months now with a 2tangs 2 cromi 2 clowns and a coral beauty in a 65G with a total water volume of 80G. It pulled half a cup of wet pee colored skin once or twice but seems very inefficient. It will work for a day then wont skim at all for another 2 or 3 days. I'm stumped, ya think its too big for my tank?

    I'm having similar issues with my skimmer. I have a 40b with proportionaly fewer critters. I think my skimmer is too big. The most skimmatei get is about 1/4 inch after several days. And I feed fairly heavy. Water perameters are good, so I don't sweat it.
