    im trying to figure out what my light cycle should be, like a 10 hr cycle, something like 8am-6pm with fug going 5pm-8am, or something like 8am-10pm and fug 9pm-8am or what any suggestions

    A 10 hour cycle is plenty, so something like your first example.

    I run a 10 hr cycle on the fuge and a 8 hr cycle on the display. It seems to work well as the chaeto and other macro algaes are doing well in the fuge as well as the corals in the display.
