    Hi Chris,

I'm not sure what you are referring to as any king of dosing unit.
Some dosing units already have a controller built-in, but if you are talking about a Drew's doser or any other peristaltic pump that you need a timer to control the dosing quantity, then yes.
So, this controller can turn the dosing pump on/off from hours down to milisecond if you wanted to, but that's just an overkill.
Most people use seconds and it is good enough.
You can setup the controller to control the dosing pump in a schedule that would dose the tank every hour for 10 seconds for example.
My pumps have a much higher flow rate so I just turn them for 2s every hour.
I hope this answers your questions.

WTF????!!!!!! Unheard of! This is really cool, man! What drives you to design and produce this unit if you're going to make barely any money on it and everyone can mess with the code????

I mean, do not get me wrong. It looks good, sounds even better and it's open source! Incredible!!! I'm just in awe here.

Now, only if I had enough money to buy anything else for this tank!
    Unemployment sucks major @$$ !!

Congrats, brother!!! I will jump on this as soon as I catch up with bills and get some money to spend. Hopefully the deal with all the probes, etc will still be available at that price.

I kind of got a hint that you will be definitely playing a lot with this toy. Let me know how it does. The coding seems simple enough for almost anyone to mess with.
