So you can just go to their website or whatnot and download the functions or applications for free.

It has a "demo" (full program) installed if you do not want to go the entire code route.

:( Sorry I haven't had time to play with it yet. I've just been using it to monitor temp in three locations. I will review it soon though as the mangrove tank (system) will be up soon and that's what I got it to control. Roberto, the maker, is in the same reef club I am (Bay Area Reefers) so I've been helping spread the word :)

    This is very cool.

Hopefully it is expandable to more than 8 outlets. I am looking forward to hearing more about this and a user's experience Gresham.

I would love to read Gresham's review as well.
In the meantime, there is a link to a review on the Reef Angel homepage.

I do love open source projects. Is this based on arduino controller?

I'd love to jump on this. I was just about to by an RKL, but if this works, I'd much rather use it.

I doubt it. The hardware AND software is open source. They're not making a cent of profit on it because of the license. They're making profit only on support. Honestly, this thing is already a steal.

EDIT: What happened? The quoted comment disappeared between me quoting it and posting this message...?
