Red spiky, hard algae on rock...what is it?!

    lol its in my 8 gallon biocube...or i would!

    thanks for chiming in everyone. i'll may give the zebra turbo snail or sally lightfoot crabs a try.

    i have tangs in my 90g. should i avoid transferring these rocks to that tank? i'm assuming it could spread

    OH man no... If it was me, I would put one rock in on the sand in your 90g and see what they do. If they are like mine they will tear that up and eat it all off of the rock pretty quick. if its on the sand and not touching other rocks it should be fine.

    I have not gotten a chance to try that yet. Tanks are in different homes. I will update with the results afterwards!

    i don't know the scientific name i call it red algae and my tangs want let it grow, i grow it in my wifes nano and feed it to the tangaro's for a treat
