Earlier in yr battle phosphate/nitrate issue

Parameters ok, lost some of the cap over time and the red coloring has faded as It looks like some white underneath the red showing thru. This week there was a portion like the size of a 50 cent piece that the red coloring "washed away" leaving a dead patch...is the coral a goner? There is new growth on the ends of te deep red that looks healthy. Thanks

    Is that dead spot spreading?

To have tissue "wash away" suddenly sounds to me like STN. I've had a couple of montis that get stung and then a piece (bigger than the stung area) dies back like STN but then it stabilizes.

If the spot is spreading pretty fast then you'll probably need to frag it .
