My LFS had a beautiful red gorgonian that wasn't attached to anything, for sale for $20.00.
Could i just drill a hole in my LR and attach with putty?

I stayed away from it because a guy i was talking with said he never has any luck keeping them alive. It was really beautiful, though.

How hard are they to care for and what are thier requirements?

As for caring. Depends on what kind. Most require a constant feeding of phyto.

I have had 2 different types within my tank. Both were bought at the same time. The first died off within 3 months. The second is still alive (9 months), but is barely hanging on.

I would only recommend these for very large and well established tanks.

Try finding out out exactly what species it is and then do ALOT of reading on that particular species.

Thanks for your advice. My tanks been up and running for a year so i think i'm good. $20 not much to spend so i'll just try it, and hope for the best.
I feed Marine Snow every other day. Think thats good for this coral?
