Red 'cotton ball' algae help?!

    Fuzz balls of red algae all over! Ahhhhh!

    It's spreading on the sand and on live rock... turbo snails and scarlet hermits I have aren't touching it. Anyone know how to get rid it?

    Fuzz balls? Can you post a pic? Doesn't sound liks the usual diatoms. :-/

    Hmm .. well my guess is diatoms - something pretty normal in the cycle of new tanks.. dig through some of the algae threads on this board and you will find plenty of info on it. Basically you will just have to ride it out and it will eventually go away.
