red belly pacus.....help

    I know this isn't the right site to post this, but people at 3reef are very helpful

    I was wondering if you can keep a RED BELLY PACUS with 3in koi and goldfish.. will he eat them or are they peaceful

    A pacu (pacus is more than 1) will be more than happy to eat smaller fish. They're not typically as aggressive as pirhanas, but they'll eat nearly anything that's easy prey - and a 3 inch koi is definitely easy prey for a fish that big. They get to be 2 feet +.

    they do have teeth and will nip on their fins, although not as defined as pirahnas. they might be ok in the beginning but they get big
