"Red Ball" hitchhiker on Euphyllia (pictures!)

    I just put this coral in my tank..(Euphyllia Cristata i belive it is..pretty excited! never seen one before)..I noticed this red ball type thing as soon as i turned the lights back on..It appears to be hollow and has two mouths..it looks like it may be splitting?

    how big are they? I think i have the same thing on my rocks. if they are what i have, they are just filter feeders

    the whole blob is about 1 inch across

    nevermind... we DO NOT have the same thing going on.... mine are tiny like half a pinky nail size....

    sea squirt comes to mind for some reason, i dont know why because i dont remember what a sea squirt was suppose to be:-/


    edit: i guess you could call it reefers intuition

    okay i'm convinced..it's a sea squirt..Thanks! just read though that they need a really high level of food or bacteria in the water and usually die within a year
