Fiske Ironworks appears to have this made this aquarium as a custom piece as it is signed and dated '1876' and did not appear in their catalog. Oh man. You don't see many of these. It measures 56 inches high, 24 inches deep by 48 inches long. The aquarium glass and sealant has been replaced. The paint is original. And, yes, it's made of iron. You are going to need some hard cash too to bring this home - the Fiske 1876 aquarium is selling for just under $20k.

    That aquarium is awesome!

Hard part would be finding a light that would give it the appropriate look. Should you dare to even add water to something that classic looking.

    20k? I bet Chum-Lee would offer him $100.

Lmao, good one. Couldn't have said it better myself. Now with that said, if I was well off I would buy it. I love antiques that are extremely rare. This would look good restored and sitting in my dining room...

Ha! Yeah, watch someone buy it and while aquascaping a rock falls and cracks it. Wouldnt that be a bummer! haha. Looks very cool though.

I thought of this too. Perhaps a vintage chandelier from that era retrofitted with a lot of PAR38 LED spot lights? I don't believe I've seen a reef-ready chandelier before. :)
