Was wondering the big difference in the 2 types of systems. I know the DI finishes off the remaining 2% or so of TDS, so is this a more or less mandatory piece?

I guess I'm asking is it worth the extra money for the RO/DI system rather than getting a 5 stage RO water filter system. I don't have the experience to know which one is what I need. I want it for home and tank water.

    any suggestions guys and gals??

    thanks

This is the 5 stage RO I was looking at at Sams and Cosco...Watts/Premier 5 stage RO home system

159.99 or 179.99 with hand held TDS meter

somehow this is not a DI? or can I buy the DI cartridege and add it??

    thanks

for a better price and the DI filters...yes they can be added. There is a difference between the two (RO and RO/DI) but not that much when it comes to TDS readings.
