    Hey,

New to the site, I purchase a beautiful piece of Hammer Coral a few weeks ago. I am kinda new to reefs and didn't know that they grow over the skeleton. Long story short I handled it a couple of times and from what the LFS guy told me I ripped the outer membrane and part of the hammer has died off. Wondering if it will ever grow back from the remaining piece. I would hate to lose the whole piece do to stupidity/lack of info. if there is a way to help speed up recovery it would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,

Unfortuntly the only advise I have is to wait and see. Not the best but all I got. It is unlikly the die off with regrow but it may grow from another area.
