Getting the biocube later this evening, but i have a Q...Is it better to get all new water from my LFS(reef crystals) or 1/4 my water and all my sand or new sand from like petsmart, LFS,petco wherever and cured rock from my LFS? OORR dry rock, new sand, and all new water?

This tank has been setup twice already..but the person drained about 4 days ago i think. So im guessing i have to cycle it again.

whatever eay is ok. to speed up things, using some of your existing 10-25% water and rest new. and use some of the old sand to. u can use dry base rock and seed with some pieces of LR too. using everything NEW (water, sand, rocks) will just take longer to cycle.

Okay..I have heared you can cycle a tank VERY fast using mature things like Cured LR, Cured sand, and water...

So this would work? 10-25% old water, Cured LR, and all of my sand? that would cure it in no time right?

Stirring up your sand can cause more problems than good. Just seed new sand with a cup or two of sand skimmed from the top of your live sand.

You don't need old water.... that won't speed up anything.

Nitrates and ammonia will collect sometimes depending on how good your sand gets stirred up..Thats why people tell you not to move your rocks, buts thats jsut one reason why.
