Question about aquarium thickness and Starphire..

    So I'm ordering a tank and the guy from my LFS say dont go with the Starphire, it is not worth the money as it scratches very easily. Anyone have any input with this?

    Also I'm ordering a tank from Marineland (maybe Perfecto maufacturer) and I noticed that the sides are only 1/2 Thick. The tank is going to be 270 gallons, and 36 inches tall (custom) Even there 220 gallon 28" tall tank is made with 1/2 glass. What do you guys think about the intergrity of the tank?
