    Morning team,

I have a few question about quarantine tanks just to reassure my understand of how to utilize it.

New fish will go into the QT for 2-4 week, (treated with copper regardless of how healthy it looks??) to get it use to the water and food.

I'll do water changes on the QT every few days,

Transferring to DT - I've read some people simply transfer the fish with no fear of small amount of copper, others say they dip their fish. What do you guys think about this stage?

    My opinion/experience

    4 weeks minimum QT..
I only treated fish if sick.

You will get so many different answers on how long to QT and if you should treat no matter what. It's all up to you, i've had more success waiting to see if they are sick before starting copper treatment.

+1^^ my own opinion is not to expose fish to harmful chemicals if they are not sick

Great thanks a lot for all the advice! I wont be treating anything unless anything shows up, just gonna keep an eye on them and keep up on the water changes for now!

Attached a photo of the set up, pretty basic.
