PVC overflow

    hey guys,quick question,i made a overflow with PVC and i also painted,i was wondering how long its safe before i put it in the tank? paint its dry,its been bout 5 hours...

    I would personally leave it at least 24 hours, to let the PVC cement dry. It's 24 hours for full cure.

    its not cement,i painted the pipe black with plastic spray paint...

    If it is, then I'm really not sure about the paint. Look for the full cure time on the can.

    If you didn't use PVC cement, I recommend rethinking the assembly of this overflow.

    yea,i glue the parts yesturday its just the paint..

    i dont have any corals or fish in the tank yet,im just starting the cycle,so i want to be sure that its safe to put the painted pipe in the tank..

    I would wait until the pipe is fully dry according to the can of paint. It's likely a 24 hour thing.

    pipes are dry,n also leave it on freshwater for like 2 hours..

    blackraven,i use cement on the pipes,but that was yesturday,so im sure they fully cured..
