I have a question about PVC cement. Is there any special type you use for saltwater applications? Home depot has several different kinds. I'm going to hard plump my sump with PVC pipe instead of vinyl tubing and barb connections. Thanks!

I use Oatey PVC cement (regular, clear) and Oatey purple primer. Works great! They have it there. That's where I got it. :afro:

Ya I use a one part grey PVC cement. I have actually glued a piece together and had SW running through it 2 minutes later with no ill effects

Yes to clean the PVC. It dries fast. You won't have to wait long. Some don't even wait.
