Unresolved Purple tip acro??

    it was called a purple tip acropora... i have no clue what species but it looks like a deepwater, although ill let the experts decide :)

    Yeah, or maybe granulosa even. Lots of options right now; it needs to grow more to be certain.

    Thanks everyone but the pics must not have come out well.. Tue whole thing is a dark red/purple and the tips are a lighter purple. Someone in the reefclub I'm in said that it's been agreed that its a tort, but I don't see any that look like it. I'll post a pic of one in another tank that I'm sure is the same as mine.

    Is this the same piece as the first picture? Because this looks like a tortuosa from the distance.

    And don't go by the color. Granulosa, loripes, tortuosa, and acro can come in many other colors that the pics i show.

    Yep they are the same lol.. Corals are so confusing.. Could they be that different?

    After looking at my coral a little closer, I found that my bigger branched (the ones in the middle) look a lot like his. I'm thinking it's a stag, which is cool, it'd be the first in my tank!
