    Hi reefers

I bought a Purple Gorgonian about 6wks ago. The polyps were totally white which is what attracted me to it. Great contrast right :)
Well now that it's been in my tank for these 6wks all the polyps have turned brown. Not a good contrast :( It appears healthy. All polyps fully extended, not an empty spot from top to bottom. I've see pictures where these gorgs polyps are brown. I'm feeding it Coral Extacy which is a zooplankton.

Are they supposed to be brown or white?

Mine are brown and always have been. I wonder if they were white because they were bleached out?

See that's what I've been saying an debating with others on. I figured they were bleached too. Thanks for the validation :)

If they turned brown, they may be photosynthetic. I've seen purple photosynthetic gorgs, and I personally own a fuzzy brown one (no purple).
