Pump size/overflow size?

Received my $0.99 291 GPH power-head/pump in the mail today. Should work well with my 20 gallon sump, right?

 

What brand is it?

interesting, i cant say that ive heard of it. and i take it you are using as your return pump then?

 

That's my plan. I couldn't pass it up for $0.99. I don't see why it wouldn't work. If it doesn't, I'll have a cheap power head lying around that I can use if I ever need one (water changes?)

Yeah, im sure it will work. the question is for how long I think. But at 99 cents you really cant go wrong, but i would maybe get a back up asap.

It can probably only handle 2 foot of head max.

 

if thats the case then maybe it could run a reactor? or just mix water with it

 

Well that won't work. I'm guessing (stand isn't built yet) I will need about 4 ft, give or take .

I thought the rule of thumb was 6-10 time sump volume?
