    It is actually easier to balance a larger volume of water. Dilution is the solution to pollution and the more water the less the swings in water parameters. Dream of a big tank!

    You cannot treat your tank with hyposalinity if it contains live rock or inverts. Make sure that you know how to treat with hyposalinity correctly. You need a refractometer or lab grade large glass hydrometer that is calibrated for reef type temps. Do not use a plastic swing arm type hydrometer. Check the pH and alk daily during the treatment.
