OK, so this has now broken in for about 3 weeks, and now i need the knob accordingly. Any idea how high the water should be to start getting proper skimming>?

Yes the water level should be almost at the bottom of the collection cup.

How high do the bubbles then come up? I feel like if it is that low then nothing would happen?

I tried attaching the photo, let me know if it works. I couldnt get a great picture of it, but right now its right near the bottom, ill see how this goes, but the bubbles seem to be popping very clear, not dark like they should be.

I could be doing this wrong, I am new to using skimmers, but it should be easier then this...

OK cool I will leave it like this for a while. How long should it take to pull the dark stuff?

Remember it also depends on your tanks bioload and how old it is.
