Like cone skimmers, the market for aquarium propeller pumps is becoming increasingly crowded. EcoTech Marine, Tunze, Coralife, Oceanic, Aqueon and? Something tells me I am missing some. Do you have a prop pump? Take our poll. Tell us why.

Yes I do. I have a Koralia 1 inside my sump for recirc and to prevent detritus from settling, I have 2 MP40's for main flow inside the tank, and one Tunze 6025 at the top of the tank to help agitate the surface of the water in the middle of the aquarium where the sump returns do not hit.

Yep, I have two Sicce Voyager #3's, two Hydor Koralia Evolution 1400's and a Koralia #1 on my systems. Love the new Evolutions at only 6 actual watts for 1400 GPH, amazing.

i dont even see how powerheads compete with this type of pump... the prop pumps are better in almost every way except for use as a return!

I'm running 2 Tunze 6101, 1 6045 and 1 6055. Like to try a MP40W, but do not want to drop the money and not be happy.

Running two MP40's on the 80g and two K2's on the 29g. I love how easy both are to clean.

I run one MP10 on my 30 gallon. The flow pattern from a prop pump is so much wider that they can't even really be compared. I would never even think of going back to power heads.
