Need some expert advice here. I have two different polyp colonies and for the last two weeks one hasn't fully opened. The only change was that a couple ballasts had burned out. The lights have been on track again for 48 hrs but no change?

    Salinity 1.025 calcium 490 PH 8.3 Alkalinity 4

The other Colony is doing fine. Rotate feeding with zoo and phyto and a mix called snow something.

    Any suggestions? Thanks everyone

Polyps, like Palys similar to zoanthids.

    TIA

    Looks like zoanthids.

Blow all the detritus off them.
    Check for critters as night.
    Zoanthid eating nudibranchs.
Asternia starfish if witnessed on zoantids.
    Sun dial snails.
    Sea Spiders......

If you increase flow have no bugs, and they do not open than dip them.

It's not KH so must be meq/l Just tested for the first time today. 2hrs after lights on

Thanks for the advice! I have noticed the odd clear bug walking around. If they are in a higher flow area they'll do better? or the bugs wont like it?

They will do better in higher flow. It takes waste products away better and delivers nutrients better also.

They like to be in good flow and light.
