polyps in trouble

    i have had them for a while now and have been doing well. unti about 2 weeks ago. they just stopped opening, well a few do but most of them dont. the stalks look healthy but dont wanna open. and all my chemesrty levels are good.all my other corals are thriveing well.

    How are your other corals doing? How old are your light bulbs?

    well i did a water change today as i do every week. and they are looking a little better than yesterday. i dont know what kind of polyps they are and i dont have a current pic of them but i will try to get one up of them. here is one of them about 3 months ago. maybe i can get an id of them as well :-/

    They are zooanthids and I'm glad that they're doing better :)

    thanks for the id. today they havnt came out in over 5 hours of light. a few days ago i thought maybe it was the macro irritateing them so i trimmed it down. if you look close there is something growing around the stalks kind of vineish around them and it not apastia. who knows? very strange.

    well holy cr@%!!!! and i was wondering where all the baby jellyfish were coming from! if i read that right i have to get rid of that brown stuff in between my zoo's. i thought it was a good sign of a healthy system. oops now i can get rid of the jellyfish now i guess

    Hydroids are not very easy to get rid of from what I've read. There are a heck of a lot of threads on Reef Central about them so you might want to search for ideas there.

    thanks amcarrig, your input will help alot.!!! and i thoght i could just pick it off the zoo's. now i know i have to look at some alternatives on how to handle it. like the thread said they are very pleasing to the eye. and i really didnt know how all the baby jellyfish were getting in my tank!!! i thought it was a cool thing until now. karma to you for the help!!!!
