    >:( :(
Since i've bought my yellow polyps i've noticed that they have reduced in size by a lot. I have 4 red legged hermit crabs and i've heard that they can sometimes eat the polyps. could this be happening to mine. It's like the polyps heads are gone. I'm gonna get some Xenia and i don't want my hermits to eat them. Do hermit crabs eat Xenia. I was also thinking that I could put my yellow polyp in my refuge to maybe regrow it's polyps. Would that work, i only have a 18 watt PC over it though.

No worries on the xenia, they won't touch it. The thing with Xenia is temp, PH and iodine (IMO). Don't get above 82-83 degrees, I've been told thats its cue to crash in the wild. The yellow in the fuge sounds like an excellent idea.

I bought yellow polyps a long time ago and had red legs. I noticed the polyps were slowly disappearing and took out the red legs the polyps grew back after that. I think you should take the red legs for a trip and just get some dwarf blue legs, and make sure they have shells to change to as they get larger. If they aren't supplied with empty shells they will eat your snails and take their shells.

The blue legs stay alot smaller than the red legs. That justs makes me feel much safer. I only have one blue leg in my tank. I got rid of all other hermits.

I'm not saying blue legs are better. I just feel that your less likely to have problems with blue legs than red legs.
