Poly Filter

    I put one in my little millenium 1000 because i had little particles in my tank i wanted out, so i clean the sand, with a gravel vac, then refill my tank and put the filter in. I can back 1 days later and 2 of 3 3 stalks are dark purple and all shriveled up. so i took the filter out thinking that it absorbed somthing the xenia needs, any comment on using the Poly Filter

    Yah, Poly's and Xenia don't seem to mix. IMO it probably has to do with removal of iodine and such. I have the same problem with mushrooms and Poly filters as well. my SPS sure love it though :D
