    Looks very similar but this dude is huge. His shell is about the size of a golf ball.

    Did you buy the crab or did it hitch-hike on some rock? Because of its size, it sounds to me like its probably not reef safe.

    Dwarf Red Tip's get up to about 2"s. So theres no telling. Its hard to identify exactly without a clearer pic. Theres so many different kinds of crabs and most of them look a lot alike.

    Yeah you are right. Its the white spotted hermit. disappointing but good thing i found out in the begging, when i don't have coral yet.:) fun to watch now but hes gotta go soon.

    Hermits are not known for munching corals as much as attacking snails and fish. They can menace fish that sleep as they predate 24/7.
